Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 3, 2026

Send to Eagle is developed and maintained by Lanrenwen. This Privacy Policy describes how information is handled when you use the Send to Eagle Chrome extension and our website (https://sendtoeagle.lanrenwen.com).

1. Local Data and Project Servers

Send to Eagle stores Eagle save history (which may include post text, author details, source links and media references), save destinations, tags, language, theme and share-card preferences locally in the browser. Captured content is not sent to a project-operated third-party content collection server. We do not operate extension tracking, analytics or advertising services and do not sell user data.

2. Functional Requests

  • The extension requests X and media servers for capture, saving and downloading, and communicates with local Eagle running on http://127.0.0.1:41595 or http://localhost:41595.
  • Saved images, video files, prompt texts, tags, and annotations are sent directly to your local Eagle app via Eagle's official local HTTP API.
  • Page GraphQL requests and responses are processed in memory to resolve original images and video sources for the selected post. Necessary authenticated request information is used only for media parsing, not persisted as authentication templates. Authentication metadata may be used in functional requests to X; this is not a claim that it never leaves the device. X and media providers handle their own requests under their policies.

3. Browser Permissions & Purpose

The extension requests specific permissions only to provide its core functionality:

  • activeTab & contextMenus: Provide user-invoked access to current-page media and information, right-click saving of images or page bookmarks to Eagle, and access to today’s save history.
  • storage: Stores Eagle save history, save destinations, tags, language, theme and share-card preferences locally. Authentication templates are not persisted.
  • downloads: Downloads user-selected media and exported share cards to your device. offscreen: Runs browser-local video processing, including remuxing HLS/m3u8 video into MP4 with WebAssembly FFmpeg.
  • sidePanel: Displays today’s extension-to-Eagle save history.
  • Host Permissions (*://*.x.com/*, *://*.twitter.com/*, *://*.twimg.com/*): Read posts, author replies and media; process page requests and responses in memory to resolve original images and videos; and fetch selected media. Available quality depends on the source.
  • Host Permissions (http://127.0.0.1:41595/*, http://localhost:41595/*): Needed to communicate with the local Eagle desktop app API.

4. Requirements and Data Removal

The extension does not require you to enter an X password. Eagle saves require Eagle installed and running on the same computer; share-card copying and downloading do not require Eagle. Old library data and authentication templates from earlier versions are no longer accessed and are not automatically cleared on update. Clearing extension storage or uninstalling removes extension-local data; Eagle assets and downloaded files must be managed separately. X, media providers and website hosting may handle ordinary service requests under their own policies. The extension makes functional network requests and stores the local data described above.
